Glenville State to Offer Bluegrass Degree Online
Glenville State College recently announced plans to offer students the ability to complete a four-year degree in bluegrass music online, in addition to the existing in-person program.
WV House, Senate Recognize Glenville State for College Affordability
Earlier today Glenville State College was recognized by members of the West Virginia House of Delegates and Senate for the role it has played in making college more affordable for students and families. The House of Delegates honored GSC with a Legislative Citation, presented by Delegate Brent Boggs (D-Braxton, 34). The Senate document, Senate Resolution 53, was sponsored by Senators Mike Romano (D-Harrison, 12), Doug Facemire (D-Braxton, 12), Robert Beach (D-Monongalia, 13), Ron Stollings (D-Boone, 07), and Sue Cline (R-Wyoming, 09).
GSC Celebrates Founders Day
Glenville State College celebrated Founders Day on Monday, February 19, 2018 – marking 146 years of serving central West Virginia as an institution of higher education.
Campus Fitness Center Selected as Showcase Facility
Glenville State College was recently featured as a showcase site for Advantage Sport & Fitness after they completed renovations to GSC's Mollohan Campus Community Center Fitness Center.
Free Income Tax Preparation Assistance Available at GSC
Free assistance is being offered again through a partnership between the Internal Revenue Service and the Glenville State College accounting program to help students, faculty, staff, and local residents file their basic federal and West Virginia income tax returns. Two options are available to qualifying taxpayers – ‘MyFreeTaxes’ and Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Free File.
GSC Celebrates Winter Homecoming and Black History Month
Glenville State College held its annual Winter Homecoming on Saturday, February 3. The day tipped-off with an alumni basketball game where several past Pioneers and Lady Pioneers suited up to show off their skills on the court.
