Climate Change to be Discussed on April 4 at GSC
Members of the Glenville State College Environmental Organization will host a presentation about climate change on Tuesday, April 4, beginning at noon. The event, which is free and open to the public, will be presented by Allan Tweddle and is scheduled to take place on the third floor of the Mollohan Campus Community Center in room 315.
Fulbright Scholar, GSC Professor Shares Update from Spain
Glenville State College Associate Professor of Spanish and Director of International Programs Dr. Megan Gibbons was selected last year as a Fulbright scholar through the internationally recognized Fulbright Program. Since January of this year, she has been at the University of Oviedo in Asturias, Spain observing classes, holding meetings, and conducting research as part of that program.
GSC to Host Annual Relay for Life Week
Students in Glenville State College’s Pioneers for a Cause student organization will be hosting their annual Relay for Life week April 3-7. GSC’s Relay for Life is a campus and community event that brings people together to celebrate, remember, and fight back against cancer.
Land Resources Department Planning Annual Golf Tournament
Planning is underway for the 19th Annual Glenville State College Department of Land Resources Golf Tournament to be held on Friday, April 28 beginning at 1:00 p.m. Proceeds from the event, which will take place at the Bel Meadow Golf Club in Clarksburg, West Virginia, will again be used to enhance student learning within GSC’s Natural Resource Management programs.

Criminal Justice Students Participate in Laser Shot Training Program
Students in Glenville State College’s criminal justice fraternity, Sigma Pi Xi, took part in Laser Shot, a tactical decision making scenario-based training program on Friday, March 10. The training was made possible by the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources.
