Annual GSC Literary Magazine Reading Slated
Students, faculty, and staff in the Glenville State College Department of Language and Literature are celebrating the recent completion of the 2015 Trillium with the 12th Annual Trillium Reading to be held on Friday, April 17th at 4:00 p.m. in the Mollohan Campus Community Center Multipurpose Room (315A). The reading, which will give the writers, poets, and artists a chance to bring their works to life in a spoken-word format, also will include an open microphone session to allow members of the audience to present poems, songs, or other literary works. The event is free and open to the public.

Twelve Glenville State College students and Science and Mathematics Department faculty members Dr. Kevin Evans, Dr. Joe Evans, and Dr. Gary Morris traveled to Duquesne University in Pittsburg
Tara Cosco Successfully Defends Dissertation
Glenville State College Assistant Professor of Special Education Tara Cosco has successfully completed her Doctor of Education degree. The now Dr. Cosco defended her dissertation earlier in March at Northcentral University in Prescott Valley, Arizona. The degree focused on Technology and E-Learning.
GSC Students Judge at FEA Conference
Six Glenville State College education students and student teachers recently served as judges at the West Virginia Future Educators Association (FEA) Spring Competitive Events Conference. The conference, held at Stonewall Resort, was an opportunity for high school students to compete in topics that included children's literature, exploration of various educational careers, impromptu speaking, lesson planning, technology, and more.
GSC Group Attends iLead Workshop
Glenville State College Education majors, Athena Morris and Elizabeth Musselman, along with advisor Tara Cosco recently attended the 2015 Kappa Delta Pi (KDP) iLead Workshop held at Davis and Elkins College in Elkins. Dr. Erin Brumbaugh, Associate Professor of Education at D&E, was the main presenter at the workshop.
GSC Art Professor's Work Featured in Pittsburgh Gallery
The work of Glenville State College Associate Professor of Art Liza Brenner is currently on display in an exhibition at the Gallery on 43rd Street in downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The show features paintings from Brenner’s recent trip to Spello, Italy where she attended a plein air workshop. Plein air is a French term used to describe painting outdoors and translates to ‘in the open air.’ The exhibition will last until Saturday, April 18th with the gallery being open Tuesday to Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Farm Conference to be held at GSC
Experienced farmers, new farmers, and area youths will all have something new to learn at the Farm Opportunities Day conference on Saturday, March 21st from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Glenville State College's new Waco Center. The event is being held in collaboration with the West Virginia University Extension Service.
Annual GSC Career Fair is March 24th
The annual Glenville State College Career Fair is scheduled for Tuesday, March 24th from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. in the Mollohan Campus Community Center Ballroom. The event is sponsored by GSC's Career Services Office.
2015 GSC Percussion Ensemble Tickets on Sale March 2nd
Tickets for the annual Glenville State College Percussion Ensemble will go on sale on Monday, March 2nd. Concerts will be held on Thursday, March 26th and Friday, March 27th at 7:00 p.m. in the GSC Fine Arts Center Auditorium.
