GSC Radio Back Online

Glenville State College’s radio station is back online with music and news for the campus and community. After being off the air for a few months, GSC radio is back on an updated platform. The radio service carries music, campus events, and sports, academic, and cultural news. The station also features a daily radio newscast.
GSC Theatre Group to Perform 'The Cripple of Inishmaan'

The Glenville State College theatre group is preparing its next show, 'The Cripple of Inishmaan,' a comedy by Martin McDonagh. Play times are Thursday, April 16th, Friday, April 17th, and Saturday, April 18th at 7:00 p.m. in the Heflin Administration Building Presidents Auditorium. General admission is $3.00 and is free for GSC students with a valid student ID.
Bone, Dody Join Voice and Euphonium at Marshall

The Marshall University School of Music and Theatre welcomed guest artists Teresa Dody, Lloyd Bone and John Mark Walkup Thursday for "Eclectic Passions: Songs of Life and Love," an euphonium and vocal recital.

Annual GSC Literary Magazine Reading Slated

Students, faculty, and staff in the Glenville State College Department of Language and Literature are celebrating the recent completion of the 2015 Trillium with the 12th Annual Trillium Reading to be held on Friday, April 17th at 4:00 p.m. in the Mollohan Campus Community Center Multipurpose Room (315A). The reading, which will give the writers, poets, and artists a chance to bring their works to life in a spoken-word format, also will include an open microphone session to allow members of the audience to present poems, songs, or other literary works. The event is free and open to the public.
Tara Cosco Successfully Defends Dissertation

Glenville State College Assistant Professor of Special Education Tara Cosco has successfully completed her Doctor of Education degree. The now Dr. Cosco defended her dissertation earlier in March at Northcentral University in Prescott Valley, Arizona. The degree focused on Technology and E-Learning.
GSC Group Attends iLead Workshop

Glenville State College Education majors, Athena Morris and Elizabeth Musselman, along with advisor Tara Cosco recently attended the 2015 Kappa Delta Pi (KDP) iLead Workshop held at Davis and Elkins College in Elkins. Dr. Erin Brumbaugh, Associate Professor of Education at D&E, was the main presenter at the workshop.
GSC Students Judge at FEA Conference

Six Glenville State College education students and student teachers recently served as judges at the West Virginia Future Educators Association (FEA) Spring Competitive Events Conference. The conference, held at Stonewall Resort, was an opportunity for high school students to compete in topics that included children's literature, exploration of various educational careers, impromptu speaking, lesson planning, technology, and more.
