Lindsey Goodman to Perform Solo Recital at GSC
Flutist Lindsey Goodman will hold a solo recital of “21st Century Visions for Flute” at Glenville State College on Thursday, October 25 at 7:00 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center Auditorium.
Music Fest at GSC is October 16
Glenville State College’s annual Music Fest concert is scheduled for Tuesday, October 16 at 7:00 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center Auditorium. This concert features nearly all of GSC’s ensembles in a potpourri of musical genres and styles.
Frank X Walker to Present at GSC
On Thursday, October 4 Frank X Walker will visit Glenville State College as a part of the ongoing “We, too, are Appalachia” project.
GSC Theatre Schedules Production of ‘Boeing Boeing’
Students in Glenville State College’s theater program will be performing ‘Boeing Boeing’ by Marc Camoletti as their first production of the fall semster. The nightly performance will run from Thursday, September 27 through Saturday, September 29 and will begin at 7:00 p.m.
Bluegrass Student Nominated for IBMA Award
The International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) has nominated Glenville State College student Alan Tompkins as a contender for its Bluegrass Broadcaster of the Year award. Tompkins is enrolled in GSC’s new and one-of-a-kind online bluegrass music degree program.
Walsh Brings 'Lost and Found' Exhibit to GSC Fine Arts Gallery
The works of Jennifer Walsh are being featured in a gallery exhibit at Glenville State College. Her show will kick off with an opening reception on Friday, September 7 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. It will be on display through Friday, September 28.
Annual Bluegrass Concert Date Announced
The annual Glenville State College Bluegrass Concert will be held on Saturday, October 27 at 7:00 p.m. in the GSC Fine Arts Center Auditorium, which is located on GSC’s main campus at 200 High Street in Glenville, West Virginia.
GSC's Pioneer Stage in Downtown Glenville to hold Grand Opening
The Glenville State College Bluegrass Program has recently relocated to The Pioneer Stage at 10 East Main Street in downtown Glenville. The Pioneer Stage will serve as the Bluegrass Music Education Center for GSC and will be open to the public after the grand opening.
