Glenville, WV – Flutist Lindsey Goodman will hold a solo recital of “21st Century Visions for Flute” at Glenville State College on Thursday, October 25 at 7:00 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center Auditorium. The concert will feature works from a new electroacoustic piece by West Virginia native Matthew Jackfert as well as songs from Goodman’s solo albums “Returning to Heights Unseen” and “Reach Through the Sky” in addition to music from her upcoming album from Parma Recordings. The recital is free and open to the public.

Goodman will also be premiering a brand new piece called "MARSYAS" for alto flute by composer Jason Taurins.

A renowned flautist and a 12 season principal flute player for the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra, Goodman is in high demand as a soloist, chamber collaborator, orchestral musician, recording artist, teacher, and clinician. She is also an adjunct faculty member for West Virginia State University and Marietta College.

She first got her start as an adjunct instructor of flute for Ashland University through the 2013-2014 school year as well as doing private teaching lessons in Goodman Flute Studios. She teaches a variety of levels starting with beginners through professionals that are in the central Ohio region. Goodman is a sought-after clinician for master classes and presentations on music careers, entrepreneurship, electroacoustics, chamber collaboration, and commissioning.
