 Students within the Glenville State College Department of Land Resources’ Fire Protection course teamed up with the Gilmer County Volunteer Fire Department and the West Virginia Division of Forestry recently for training on the engine pumps and hoses used to protect structures and forested areas from devastating wildfires.

 The West Virginia Secondary Schools Activities Commission has been the governing body of high school athletics in the state for over a century. For the last 61 years, there has been a common denominator in the upper administration of the organization: Glenville State College.

 The Fundamentals of Surveying exam is generally the first step in the process to becoming a professional licensed surveyor. Two current Glenville State College students, Jacob Petry and Asa Dick, recently passed the exam on their first take.
