GSC Senior Crowned Ms. WV Sweetheart Festival 2014

Hillary Tinney, a senior natural resource management major at GSC, has been crowned Ms. West Virginia Sweetheart Festival 2014. The annual pageant took place on Sunday, February 23rd at the Braxton County Senior Center in Sutton, West Virginia.
Climate Change Seminar Planned at GSC

Glenville State College will be the site of a presentation about climate change on Thursday, March 6th at 6:00 p.m. in the Heflin Administration Building Presidents Auditorium. The presentation, Climate Change – Past, Present, and Future, will be delivered by University of Dayton Physics Professor Dr. Bob Brecha.
Wear Red Day Luncheon Being Planned at GSC

Local residents are invited to join Glenville State College and the American Heart Association for the 11th anniversary celebration of 'Wear Red Day.' The GSC campus will be the site of a free 'Wear Red Day Luncheon on Tuesday, February 25th at 12:00 p.m. in the Mollohan Campus Community Center Ballroom.
GSC Fall 2013 Provost's Honor List Announced

The Glenville State College Fall 2013 Provost's Honor List has been announced. To be named to the GSC Provost's Honor Roll, students must have between 3.5 and 3.9 grade point averages and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 semester hours.

The Glenville State College Fall 2013 President's Honor List has been announced. To be named to the GSC President's Honor Roll, students must have 4.0 grade point averages and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 semester hours.
Marketing Conference for Area Farmers to be Held at GSC

Glenville State College will be the site of two events for West Virginia farmers on January 24th and 25th. The Good Agricultural Practices and Good Handling Practices training will take place on Friday, January 24th and will be provided by the West Virginia Department of Agriculture. On Saturday, January 25th the Farm Opportunities Day Conference will take place that will help attendees maximize their business potential for small farms through trusted training from state and local experts.
Mineral Wells Couple Fund GSC Scholarship

The pair, both 1955 Glenville State College graduates, have established the Harold and Norma Cline Hidden Promise Scholarship for students from Wood County, West Virginia.
Nursing Scholarship Established at Glenville State College

Two generous donors, Mike and Nancy Rust, have recently funded the Nancy Lemon Rust Nursing Scholarship for students attending Glenville State College. Students will have the opportunity to be selected for the scholarship beginning with the fall 2014 semester.
Glenville State College ROTC Salutes Veterans

Several GSC Army ROTC cadets recently spent Veterans Day saying thank you. The cadets traveled to the Louis A. Johnson VA Hospital in Clarksburg, West Virginia in order to visit several American heroes.
