GSC Students Visit Haymond House
Glenville State College students from the parapsychology class of Dr. James Davison took a trip the historic William Edgar Haymond House in Sutton, West Virginia recently. The Queen Anne-style house, built in 1884, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and has been known for prior paranormal events.
Ansley Senior Art Show Held
Glenville State College senior Eric Ansley Jr. recently held his senior art show, which was on display in the GSC Fine Arts Center Gallery.
Runyon to hold Senior Recital at GSC
Glenville State College student Josh Runyon will be performing his senior recital on Friday, May 10 at 7:00 p.m. at the Pioneer Stage, which is located at 10 East Main Street in downtown Glenville.
GSC Employee Reappointed to WV Humanities Council
Glenville State College archivist and reference librarian Jason Gum has been reelected to serve another three-year term on the program committee for the West Virginia Humanities Council. Gum will serve from June 1, 2019 through June 1, 2022.
GSC Department of Language and Literature to Hold Annual Trillium Reading
The Glenville State College Department of Language and Literature will host the 2019 annual Trillium reading on Wednesday, April 24, at 4:00 p.m. at the Pioneer Stage. The event will feature works of poetry, music, and an open mic session. The Pioneer Stage is located at 10 East Main Street.
Glenville State College and Webster County Schools Sign Agreement to Reduce Time to College Degree Completion for High School Students
Glenville State College has offered dual credit courses at schools throughout West Virginia for years, but seniors have never been able to graduate from high school and college simultaneously – until now. At a signing ceremony held Friday, March 22, GSC representatives joined Webster County School administrators and staff to formally acknowledge a new agreement.

Glenville State Criminal Justice Student Saves a Life
Jacob Bullard, a senior criminal justice major at Glenville State College, was interning with the Burnsville Police Department alongside Chief Jim Ball when they received a call for an unconscious subject. Upon arrival, Bullard, who recently acquired his CPR certification, was the first to assess the victim and noted no pulse or respiration.
