GSC Sports Medicine Group Receives Barr Award
For the first time since its inception, a trio of staff members was presented with Glenville State College's 'Pete and Betsy Barr Professional Development Award.' The award, which provides funds to further professional growth and development, was presented to GSC Sports Medicine personnel Brent Walters, Jennifer Tolson, and Dr. Carl Nichols. Walters and Tolson serve as Athletic Trainers and Nichols as Team Physician.

GSC Announces 2014 Homecoming Schedule
Glenville State College is gearing up to celebrate Homecoming Week beginning Monday, October 6th. Honored guests will include GSC's former Pioneers, who will also serve collectively as Parade Marshal for the Saturday morning parade. Additionally, the Class of 1994 and Lambda Chi Alpha, Theta Xi, and Tau Kappa Epsilon members will be holding reunions.
Five Inducted into Hall of Fame at GSC
Five individuals were inducted into the Glenville State College Curtis Elam Athletic Hall of Fame during the college's annual Hall of Fame banquet and induction ceremony on Saturday, May 31st. The 2014 inductees were: Bob Turner, Keith Pritt '58, Fred Taylor '60, Charles "Bernie" Buttrey '76, and Kent Pilant '97.
GSC Holds Groundbreaking Ceremony for Pioneer Center
On Tuesday, July 12, blue and white shovels broke ground on the Pioneer Center, a $25,000,000 facility that will house the college's Land Resources department, a 3,000-seat sports arena, and other athletic facilities and offices.
GSC Fitness Center Sponsoring 5K Walk/Run and Fastest Kid Contest
Lace up your tennis shoes runners and walkers because the 5K Walk/Run and Fastest Kid in Town contest are both back for a second year. In coordination with the West Virginia State Folk Festival, the 5K will take place on June 18 at 8:00 a.m.
Lady Pioneers Head to NCAA Tournament
The GSC Lady Pioneer Basketball team boarded a charter bus Wednesday evening for their trip to the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional Tournament at Edinboro University in Edinboro, Pennsylvania.
