Instructions on how to apply for Housing
You must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours to complete the housing application. If you are not enrolled in classes, please contact your academic advisor (continuing students) or the Office of Admissions (for all new students) to get registered for classes.
- Visit the GSU Housing Portal using the username and password you use to log into other services, such as Brightspace (Student ID # / Campus Computer password).
- Once logged in, select "Housing Application" from the nav bar.
- Click on the "Apply" Button for the upcoming Academic Year
- Read the disclaimer and click "Start Application" at the bottom of the page
- Proceed through each section. Select whether you need a Meal Plan Accommodation. You will not be able to continue until you do.
- Review the Housing Contract and Student Handbook and input your student ID to acknowledge that you have reviewed both documents.
- Proceed through the room selection process below. Continuing students who apply between May 1st - 8th can participate in the room selection process May 8th - May 15th only. If you miss the room selection window, please refer to the section showing room preferences.
- On the groups page, you may join or create groups with friends and/or roommates of interest. You can use the links to the right to search for specific roommates/quadmates.
- If you are a continuing student participating in the room selection process, you will be emailed a time-slot at which time you will be allowed to return to the application to select a room. Follow the instructions to select your desired room. If you miss your timeslot, you will not be able to participate in room selection.
- If you are a first-time freshman, transfer student, readmit student, a continuing student who applied for housing after May 8th, or you missed your room selection window, you will go through the normal room preference. Follow the instructions on these pages to select your preferences.
- All students will then be asked to choose a meal plan.
- Make sure to review the selections you have made before submitting the application. You cannot edit your housing application after it has been submitted.
