The 2021 Poetry-Slam will be held April 1 at noon in the Rusty Musket. Georgia Lilly, Poetry Slam winner of 2020, will be reading. Student competitors will be performing their poetry for this year’s championship. The event is sponsored by the Little Kanawha Reading Series and is free.
The poetry slam is an annual event to encourage creative expression through poetry. It is open to all students who would like to express the issues in the world or the thoughts in their minds. It is set in a competitive environment, and you might be the person who brings home a trophy. Come out and take part of this fun creative day the Glenville State.
To participate, contact Anna Childers, the student organizer of the event, at ChildersAnnaF@Gsc.Glenville.edu, or faculty sponsor Jonathan Minton at Jonathan.Minton@Glenville.edu.
