The 2024 NCAA Convention, held in Phoenix, marked a triumphant conclusion on Saturday, January 13th as 3,000 dedicated members from all three divisions enthusiastically returned to their respective campus and conference offices. The Philippine Forestry Education Network (PFEN), Inc., a distinguished non-stock and non-profit organization comprising accredited forestry schools in the Philippines, proudly announced its inaugural International Conference this past October 25-27, 2023. Themed "Engaging the Academe to Lead in the Revitalization of the Wood and Wood-based Industries for Economic Recovery," the event took place at the University of Mindanao, Davao City.

In a hands-on display of practical education, the Forestry and Wildlife students in the FRST 209 Silviculture class at Glenville State University recently conducted a prescribed fire on the college farm, followed by an enlightening field trip to Weyerhaeuser property in Greenbrier County.
