Two GSC Students Elected to Public Office
Conner Ferguson, a Gilmer County native, and Brianna McClain, a Lewis County native, are both students at Glenville State College who are getting involved in local politics at a young age.
Incoming Freshmen Invited to Register at GSC
Incoming Glenville State College freshmen, who will be members of the Class of 2018, are invited to complete their course registrations on Saturday, June 21st at GSC's Registration Day. The day's activities begin at 9:00 a.m. with a check in and continental breakfast in the Land Resources Area of GSC’s new Waco Center.
GSC Spring 2014 Provost's Honor List Announced
Glenville State College's Spring 2014 Provost's Honor List has been announced. To be named to the GSC Provost's Honor Roll, students must have grade point averages between 3.5 and 3.9 and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 semester hours.

Hidden Promise Scholars Hold Community Meet & Greets
Staff members and mentors of the Glenville State College Hidden Promise Scholars (HPS) Program met with high school students and their families from over 30 counties so that participants and their families could learn more about the HPS program.

Robert 'Goat' Hensley, a junior from Dundalk, Maryland, has been named the Glenville State College Pioneer Mascot for the 2014-2015 school year.
DeMatteo Receives GSC Faculty Award of Excellence
Glenville State College Professor of History Dr. Art DeMatteo is the 2014 recipient of the GSC Faculty Award of Excellence. DeMatteo, who has worked at GSC for ten years, received the award at the 140th GSC Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 10th.
Two GSC Students Participate in National Ceramics Competition
Amanda Wallbrown of Rosedale, WV and Ryan Singleton of Burnsville, WV, two Glenville State College studio art majors, recently took part in the San Angelo National Ceramic Competition in Texas. While both were honored by their selection to compete, Wallbrown was further recognized with a Merit Award that was accompanied by a $50 prize.
Fifty Students Named GSC Honor Graduates
Fifty members of Glenville State College's Class of 2014 have been recognized as honor graduates. The students received their honor stoles at the annual Honor Graduates Reception held on May 8th in the Mollohan Campus Community Center Ballroom.
