GSC Students Make History at Business Plan Competition Finals

GSC seniors and WV Statewide Collegiate Business Plan Competition finalists Racheal Fetty and Caleb Greathouse made history earlier this year. For the first time since the inception of the competition, a surprise offer of an additional $10,000 investment was made to a runner-up.
Braxton and Clay Residents Earn Entrepreneurship Certificate from GSC

GSC has recently awarded Entrepreneurship Essentials certificates to four students from Braxton and Clay Counties. The four students have been attending evening classes at Braxton County High School in the Braxton County Center classrooms.

The Michael Late Benedum Chapter of the American Association of Professional Landmen recently donated $5,000 to the Glenville State College Land Resources Department for use in supporting student scholarships.
New GSC JASON Coordinator Pleased with Teacher Training

GSC's new JASON Learning Coordinator, Mollie Ferguson, recently organized a workshop for several K-12 instructors. The teachers learned about the new 'Climate: Seas of Change' curriculum from JASON, took part in labs, and experienced the online Mission Center.

Robbie Mann, a GSC junior from Berkeley Springs, WV, recently took fifth place in the Old-Time Fiddle Competition at the 37th Annual Vandalia Gathering.
GSC Professor a Quarterfinalist for Music Educator Grammy Award

Lloyd Bone has been named a quarterfinalist for a new Music Educator Award that will be presented by the Grammy Foundation. He is among 216 other music teachers from across the U.S. and is one of only two from West Virginia.
