The Lady Pioneers claimed their fifth MEC tournament title on March 5, defeating the University of Charleston 76-59. On March 10, the Lady Pioneers began their NCAA tournament against the Vikings of Elizabeth City State, North Carolina, and defeated them 84-60. After the Lady Pioneers defeated ECSU, they played Shippensburg University, Pennsylvania on March 11 and won again. Today, March 13, the lady’s pioneers take on the Golden Rams of West Chester, Pennsylvania, in the Regional Championships at 7 p.m. in the Waco Center.

A win tonight will earn the team a spot in the Elite Eight. In that case, The team will be heading to St. Joseph, Missouri to begin play on Monday.
