Fairan Gill, a junior history and political science major at GSC, recently had the opportunity to shadow a delegate in the West Virginia Legislature for one week during the regular sixty-day session as part of the Frasure-Singleton Internship.
Independent Research by GSC Students on Display at WV Capitol

Three GSC students were invited to participate in Undergraduate Research Day at the Capitol. The event brings undergraduate students from around the state to Charleston to display original scholarly work in a poster presentation format and talk with legislators.
Free Income Tax Preparation Assistance Available at GSC

Due to issues related to COVID-19, the in-person tax assistance at GSC will not be available this tax season. The online MyFreeTaxes option is still available however (see article for more information on this option).

Glenville State Announces Finalists for Presidential Search

Presidential search finalists who were previously scheduled to visit campus on March 25, 26, and 27 are now tentatively delaying those visits until April 22, 23, and 24 due to issues related to Coronavirus.
Annual Percussion Ensemble Tickets on sale March 2

Tickets for the 40th annual Glenville State College Percussion Ensemble will go on sale on Monday, March 2 at 8:00 a.m. Concerts will be held on Thursday, April 2 and Friday, April 3 at 7:00 p.m. in the GSC Fine Arts Center Auditorium.
GSC and U.S. Forest Service Partner to Offer Internships

The Glenville State College Department of Land Resources, the GSC Foundation, and the United States Forest Service (USFS) have partnered to offer internship opportunities for students within the Natural Resource Management program. An agreement was signed between the institutions to formalize this year’s initiative.
