Tree Lighting Ceremony at GSC is November 30

GLENVILLE, WV - Glenville State College President Dr. Peter Barr and his wife Betsy invite GSC faculty, staff, students, and local residents to kick off the holiday season with the tenth annual GSC Tree Lighting Ceremony to take place on Monday, November 30 at 4:30 p.m. in the Luanna T. Smith Amphitheatre. Festivities will continue at 5:00 p.m. on the third floor of the Mollohan Campus Community Center with Santa and Mrs. Claus who will pose for pictures with the kids. Light refreshments also will be served.

"My wife Betsy started this tradition when we came to Glenville in 2006. It has been exciting to see more and more kids each year at the tree lighting. We love to see the kids in the community grow up and lose their fear of telling Santa Claus their biggest wishes," said Dr. Barr.
