GLENVILLE, WV - Persons interested in learning more or signing up for spring semester Glenville State College evening courses at the Braxton County Center are invited to attend an upcoming open house session. The event is scheduled for Monday, January 4 at the Braxton County High School Commons Area between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m.
GSC is continuing its tradition of offering a variety of evening classes in Braxton County to accommodate students who might have difficulty making it to the GSC campus to take classes during the day. The weekly courses scheduled to be available are: Labor Management Relations (Mondays 4:00-6:30 p.m.), Operations Management (Mondays 6:45-9:15 p.m.), West Virginia and the Appalachian Region (Tuesdays 6:45-9:15 p.m.), Principles of Microeconomics (Wednesdays 4:00-6:30 p.m.), Business Law (Wednesdays 6:45-9:15 p.m.), and Introduction to Public Speaking (Thursdays 4:00-6:30 p.m.). All of the classes are three credit hours and will begin on Monday, January 11 and run through Friday, April 29. Interested students can register now through January 15.
Scholarships are available to cover most of the costs of enrolling in these courses for residents of Braxton County who are high school graduates and have been out of high school for at least three years. Students are responsible for textbook costs. All who are interested in furthering their education are encouraged to enroll in these classes.
