The 2008-09 school year will begin at Glenville State College on Friday, August 15th with the arrival of new students. In an effort to give these students the opportunity to learn about local businesses, churches, and other organizations in the community that might interest them, GSC is hosting a “Community and Campus Fair Lunch.”

The event will take place on Saturday, August 16th from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the Clark Hall lawn. Community businesses, churches, and organizations are invited to set up displays to introduce and promote themselves to the new students through the use of coupons, gift certificates, free samples, and information. The “Community and Campus Fair Lunch is a great chance to show new students what the community can offer them during their experience at Glenville State College.

Letters have been mailed throughout the community inviting everyone to participate in the “Community and Campus Fair Lunch.” Any business, church, or organization that did not receive a letter and is interested in participating in the event or needs additional information should contact GSC Registrar Brenda McCartney at (304) 462-4117 ext. 7123 or brenda.mccartney@glenville.edu.
