Glenville, WV -- Glenville State College Student Holli Owens, the new Ms. West Virginia, has been preparing for the Ms. United States competition in Las Vegas, Nevada for the past three months since winning the state title in April. She has also been making appearances at events and parades throughout West Virginia. Holli recently attended the Governor’s Service Banquet, which awarded people all over the state for volunteering. “I have a passion for volunteering,” Owens said.

Owens will travel to Las Vegas July 26th for the Ms. United States 2007 pageant at the Orleans Hotel. Competition begins July 28th and finals are on August 1st. The pageant is comprised of four categories: personal interview, swimwear, elegance and expression: evening wear, and the onstage question.

Owens is a junior majoring in accounting at Glenville State College. She is a Tucker County native from Parsons. Faculty, staff, and students at Glenville State College wish her the best of luck!
