Jazz Concert Planned at GSC

GLENVILLE, WV—Members of the Glenville State College Jazz Combo and Jazz ‘Big Band’ are preparing for their spring concert which will be held on Tuesday, April 28th at 7:00 p.m. in the GSC Fine Arts Center Auditorium.

“The concert, titled ‘The Pioneers of Jazz’, will include an array of jazz styles featuring the music of Count Basie, Buddy Rich, Maynard Ferguson, Herbie Hancock, and Horace Silver as well as more contemporary jazz rock sounds by artists such as the Meters, and Earth, Wind, and Fire,” said GSC Assistant Professor of Music and Jazz Band Director Jason Barr. “We invite everyone to come out and enjoy the show.”
