Glenville, WV – GSU honors student and psychology major, Graylin Floyd, recently presented her scholarly research at the Eastern Psychological Association (EPA) Annual Meeting in New York City.
Ms. Floyd’s research study, Examining the Effects of Attachment Style and Gender on Partner Preference, was supported by Glenville State University and provided her with the opportunity to share her findings among fellow students, professionals, and researchers in the field of psychology. Her experience at the conference was both academically enriching and personally transformative.
When asked about her experience, Ms. Floyd stated that “Traveling to New York City to the Eastern Psychological Association (EPA) Annual Meeting was a life-changing experience! This amazing experience gave me the chance to network with people of various backgrounds, broaden my knowledge of the different subfields of psychology, learn valuable research skills, discuss various unanswered questions within the field of psychology, and draw inspiration for future projects.
“I truly can’t thank those who have helped me along the way enough. I would encourage any and all students to get involved on our amazing campus, conduct their own research, and possibly even travel to a conference as well! I am beyond grateful for this memorable journey and can’t wait for my next project!” said Floyd. The research study was supervised by Dr. Kaitlin Ensor, Associate Professor of Psychology and Chair of the Department of Social Sciences.
