The Glenville State College Fine Arts Department will be hosting the Third Annual Juried Student Art Show from March 15th until April 16th in the GSC Fine Arts Center Gallery. All full-time GSC students are eligible to enter up to three works.
“I am expecting the competition and quality of the work to be even better than last year. I believe this is a great opportunity for students on campus to obtain valuable experience in exhibiting, presenting, and pricing their artwork,” said GSC Assistant Professor of Art Liza Brenner. The drop-off dates are March 1-4th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The juror of the show will be Dylan Collins. At the West Virginia University College of Creative Arts Division of Art and Design, Collins is the Visiting Assistant Professor of Art and Sculpture Program Coordinator. Cash prizes will be awarded to Best in Show, First Place, Second Place, Third Place, and Honorable Mention.
The show exhibit will be open to the public daily, Monday through Friday, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The gallery is also open one hour before all GSC Fine Arts events. An opening reception will be held for the show in the GSC Fine Arts Building Gallery on March 29th from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with refreshments being served.
