GLENVILLE, WV - The NRA Foundation has awarded Glenville State College’s Pioneer Shooting Club a grant totaling over $2,000 to fund two new shotguns, ammunition, targets, cleaning and maintenance supplies for the firearms, and more. “The club members are very excited about receiving the new items. We’re grateful that the NRA is making an investment in our organization,” said club president Jason Rosenburg.

The Pioneer Shooting Club is one of many extracurricular organizations available to students at GSC. In addition to teaching and reinforcing proper firearms safety procedures and upkeep, the club also participates in shooting competitions and takes field trips.

Additionally, with the NRA grant we were able to purchase two new shotguns and intend to expand the educational benefits and shooting opportunities for our members,” said Kenneth Lang. He serves as an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice, Pioneer Shooting Club advisor, and has over twenty years’ experience with the Baltimore County Police Department.
