GSC's Alumni Day Slated; Graduates to be Honored Announced

GLENVILLE, WV – Alumni and friends of Glenville State College are invited back to campus for Alumni Day on Saturday, April 28.

Several activities are planned for Saturday, culminating with the popular evening alumni awards banquet. Alumni banquet attendees may gather in the third floor pre-function area of the Mollohan Campus Community Center from 5:00-6:00 p.m. for a social hour prior to dinner in the ballroom. Activities earlier in the day will allow everyone to socialize, reminisce, and re-establish contact with their fellow Pioneers and friends.

The Alumni Center, open from 1:00-4:30 p.m., will serve as headquarters for the day’s activities and provide an opportunity for socializing. Returning alumni may take part in self-guided tours of campus throughout the day at their leisure.

The evening’s banquet spotlight will be on the Alumni Association’s guests of honor: Alumnus of the Year Dr. Monica (Null) Beane ‘96; Alumni Achievement Award recipient Thomas J. Gallagher ‘63; Community Service Award honoree William J. Frost ‘69; Alumni Service Award recipient Bob Marshall ‘66; Outstanding Teacher Award recipient Dr. Tonya (Gray) Propst ‘91; Outstanding Young Alumna Coach Kim Stephens ‘11; and Outstanding Young Alumnus John Matthew Lamb ‘05. Special recognition will be made for members of the Class of 1993 as they celebrate their 25 year reunion. In memoriam tributes will also take place at the banquet for Billy B. Burke ‘77, Professor Emeritus George D. Harper ‘70, and Lisa Michelle ‘Shelly’ (Hardman) Kraus ‘92. The Alumni Center will be open for social time following the banquet.
