Glenville State College students, faculty, and staff will be showing off what GSC has to offer April 19th – 23rd for the annual Spring 2010 Pioneer Preview. This event will open the campus up for tours and educate interested students on what GSC is all about.
“The Spring Preview is a great opportunity for students to check out the campus and ask any questions that they may have about GSC. They can talk with faculty and staff about the programs, life on campus, and the overall experience as a Pioneer. The Spring Pioneer Preview offers many exciting activities so that students and parents can come together with faculty, staff, and current students and feel like part of the Pioneer community,” said GSC Admissions Counselor Adrian Duelley.
In addition to individualized pre-registration, each day includes: 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. meet and greet with GSC admissions staff and receive an overview of available financial assistance with GSC financial aid staff, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. testing, advising, and pre-registration, 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. ‘Pioneer Trail’ (stopping by the Admissions Office for a tour, Student Life to get a GSC ID, Dining Services to set up a meal plan, Public Safety to purchase a parking pass), and many others to prepare students for Fall 2010 at Glenville State College.
Special events taking place during the week consist of: Comedy Caravan (Monday, April 19th at 9:00 p.m. in the Rusty Musket), Campus Picnic and Sandy Sowell Game Show (Tuesday, April 20th at 11:00 a.m. in the Amphitheatre), Bingo (Wednesday, April 21st at 12:15 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. in the Rusty Musket), Premium Night (Thursday, April 22nd at 4:30 p.m. in the Mollohan’s Restaurant), Blue and White Football Game (Thursday, April 22nd at 6:00 p.m. at Morris Stadium), National Jelly Bean Day (Friday, April 23rd at 11:00 a.m. in the Rusty Musket), GSC Softball vs. Shepherd (Friday, April 23rd at 4:00 p.m. at the I.L. and Sue Morris Field), and the Concert Band Concert (Friday, April 23rd at 7:00 p.m. in the Fine Arts Auditorium).
