GLENVILLE, WV - Glenville State College was recently named one of the Best Colleges in West Virginia for 2017-2018 by College Consensus. Glenville State was ranked eighth overall and fourth in public institutions. Only Marshall University, West Virginia University, and West Liberty University outranked GSC in the listing.

According to College Consensus, the schools listed in the ranking are driving West Virginia’s 21st century reinvention as a center of alternative energy, technology, and tourism by creating a prepared workforce of researchers, professionals, and technicians. These results were generated by using thousands of student review scores and the latest results from many respected college ranking systems.

“I’m pleased to see rankings like these that compliment the work that we’re doing here at Glenville State College. Our faculty are driving students to be prepared for the workforce upon graduation. We want our students to be true Pioneers so they’re ready to take on the challenges of tomorrow, no matter what form they may take,” Glenville State College President Dr. Tracy Pellett said.
