Glenville State College President Peter B. Barr has been appointed to chair the P-20 Collaborative Task Force by Brian Noland, Chancellor of the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission.

In his charge, Chancellor Noland asked the P-20 Collaborative Task Force to focus on ‘improving the preparation, retention, and development of professional educators at all levels and promoting a seamless education system connecting all levels of learning.’

Barr said, “Clearly, this is a daunting charge, but also one that resonates. I think few would argue with the view that P-20 education is fragmented, lacking a predictable unity, and needlessly complex."
The task force shall include a broad representation of elementary, middle, high school, college, and university educators.

With greater collaboration across the state’s educational system, all education institutions will benefit.
