GLENVILLE, WV - Glenville State College Board of Governors Chairman Greg Smith announced today, Monday, April 1, that the Board has been informed of the resignation of College President Dr. Tracy Pellett. The resignation is effective at the end of his current contract on June 30, 2019. “We appreciate Dr. Pellett’s dedicated and exemplary service to the College and wish him well in his future endeavors,” Smith said.
John Beckvold, chief financial officer, will be handling the day-to-day on campus duties of the Office of the President. Dr. Pellett will continue to assist the Board in moving his initiatives forward and in the transition to an interim president. The Board will appoint an interim president for the near term and will appoint a presidential search committee as soon as possible.
“Glenville State College is an important educational and economic asset for central West Virginia,” Smith said. “We will seek a well-qualified and creative leader who can embrace the uniqueness of our institution, our community and our region,” he added.
