The Glenville State College NASA Summer Research Academy is in need of small electronic devices in any condition.
“Our NASA Summer Research Academy students will use components from inside the electronic devices to learn about design, logic, and feedback by making ‘semi-intelligent microbots.’ Imagine an electronic insect that seeks out darkness or runs from sound or light. Some of the unused items may become part of the recycling program run by the Glenville Chapter of the Student Affiliates of the American Chemical Society. Either way, the donation benefits education while helping eliminate clutter around the house,” said GSC Lab Technician John Brown.
Accepted donations include old cell phones, chargers, pagers, CD players, computer mice, Roomba vacuuming robots, etc. You can drop off the devices in the GSC Math and Science Department until June 11th. For more information, contact Brown at John.Brown@glenville.edu or (304) 462-6319.
