Glenville, WV—The Glenville State College chapter of Collegiate Music Educators National Conference will host the 2007 West Virginia conference. Over one hundred Music Education students from colleges and universities all over West Virginia will be visiting GSC. The conference will start on Sunday, November 4, 2007 and conclude with lunch on Tuesday, November 6, 2007.
Glenville State College students won the honor of hosting the 2007 conference after submitting a successful presentation at the 2006 conference in Huntington, West Virginia. After seeing and hearing what Glenville State College students had to offer, CMENC members from all over the state unanimously elected to come to GSC for the 2007 conference. Glenville State College has hosted the event several times. “The GSC Music Education program has been well respected across the state for many years, hosting the CMENC once again emphasizes the excellence of our program,” said Dr. Carol Benton, Glenville State College Assistant Professor of Music.
