Glenville, WV—It is time to complete financial aid applications for the 2008-09 school year. West Virginia residents need to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) online at www.fafsa.ed.gov by March 1st for best processing and to meet the West Virginia Higher Education Grant and Promise Scholarship deadline. West Virginia residents who are attending college for the first time also must complete the WV Financial Aid Application at www.wvapply.com by March 1st in order to meet the deadline for the WV Higher Education Grant and Promise Scholarship.
Glenville State College will be hosting three FAFSA workshops to assist students with submitting their online applications. These workshops are free and open to anyone and will be held at the Robert F. Kidd Library on Sunday, February 10 from 2-4 p.m., Monday, February 18 from 4-6 p.m., and Tuesday, February 26 from 4-6 p.m.
There will also be a seminar for Glenville State College students on Thursday, January 31 at 12:15 p.m. in The Mollohan Campus Community Center Auditorium. This will be a presentation on the financial aid and scholarship application process.
