menuDr. Martin Luther King once said, “Life’s most persistent and nagging question is: what are you doing for others?” In the wake of the destructive natural disaster that occurred in Haiti on January 12th, many people are thinking more about this question.
The Glenville State College Student organizations in collaboration with the Fairmont office of the American Red Cross are raising funds for the Haiti relief effort. Representatives from GSC student organizations are collecting monetary donations at designated tables in the campus’ Rusty Musket throughout the afternoon and evening hours of Thursday, January 21st through Wednesday, January 27th. All proceeds will be presented to the Marion County office of the American Red Cross.
Gifts will help provide immediate relief and long-term support through supplies, technical assistance, and other needs to help the earthquake victims. For more information, please contact GSC Student Activities Director Kipp Colvin at Kipp.Colvin@glenville.edu or (304) 462-6412.
