The Glenville State College Fine Arts Gallery is showing off works of Jeff Greenham with his collection ‘New Works.’ The ceramic exhibit showcases Greenham’s visual grace merged with technical perfection. The ultimate goal of his work is one of seamless elegance whether it is showing off the essence of clay’s softness or hardness, investigating the aesthetic avenues and relationships between form and surface through development and investigation of glazes and firing techniques, or functional and sculptural issues. Greenham is a Fairmont State University School of Fine Arts faculty member.
“Jeff Greenham’s show exhibits exemplary craftsmanship with a new take on the everyday vase. He takes a minimalist approach with his color palette and lack of clutter and keeps your attention. We are very pleased to have such a well put together show,” said GSC Assistant Professor of Art Liza Brenner.
The show will be open until March 5th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The gallery is also open one hour before all GSC Fine Arts events. An opening reception will be held for the show in the GSC Fine Arts Building Gallery on January 25th from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with refreshments served.
