GLENVILLE, WV - Glenville State College sophomore Lyndsee Gay learned recently that she is the recipient of a scholarship from the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the International Erosion Control Association. Along with the $1,500 scholarship, she has been invited to the Mid-Atlantic Chapterâs 23rd Annual Conference, Exposition, and Trade Show that will be held in September in Annapolis, Maryland.
âI am very honored to have received this scholarship and I am looking forward to attending the conference to learn more about erosion and sediment control this September,â said Gay. She says much of the conference will focus on erosion and sediment control which are two important factors that she would be monitoring in her future career as a forester.
A notification from the chapter president noted Gayâs hard work, dedication, and excellent recommendations as factors in her receiving the scholarship. Gay is from Marlinton, West Virginia and is earning a bachelorâs degree in Natural Resource Management with a concentration in Forest Technology. She is the daughter of Bryan Gay and Selina Clifton-Gay.
