The Glenville State College Fine Arts Department presents the Spring Choir Concert on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in the GSC Fine Arts Center Auditorium. The concert, which will be presented by members of the Concert Choir and Chamber Singers, will include music by Michael Praetorius, Franz Josef Haydn, W. A. Mozart, Gabriel Faure, Charles Stanford, and Oscar Escalada. According to Dr. Carol Benton, Assistant Professor of Music at GSC, “The music represents a range of style periods from the Renaissance to the contemporary period.”

The concert will include a set of jazz and pop music performed by the Chamber Singers. This section of the concert will include ‘Over the Rainbow,’ ‘Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy,’ ‘Satin Doll,’ and other selections in jazz and pop styles.

General admission is $2.00 and GSC students will be admitted for free with a valid college ID. For more information, call (304) 462-4130.
