GLENVILLE, WV - The Annual Glenville State College Bluegrass Concert will be on Saturday, October 8 at 6:00 p.m. in the GSC Fine Arts Center Auditorium. The concert will feature performances by Retro and Smiling’s Buddy Griffin and Ashley Messenger and the GSC Bluegrass Band. The concert also will serve as the release party for the second studio album of GSC’s Bluegrass Band.

Last spring, the Bluegrass Band recorded their second album at Rick’s Main Street Studio in Clay City, Kentucky. The studio offered state-of-the-art equipment, setup, and a professional, yet relaxed atmosphere. Bluegrass icon Ricky Wasson provided the bluegrass students with a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

“It was a treat and pleasure to record the Glenville State College Bluegrass Band. They are a great group of talented young people working together to play bluegrass music, and having fun while doing it,” said Wasson.
