Glenville State University Tuba and Euphonium Ensemble to Showcase Talent at the 2024 United States Army Band "Pershing's Own" Tuba and Euphonium Workshop 

Glenville State University is pleased to announce that its Tuba and Euphonium Ensemble has been invited to perform at the prestigious 2024 United States Army Band "Pershing's Own" Tuba and Euphonium Workshop in Washington, D.C. This event, hosted by the top US Army Band, is a significant opportunity for the ensemble to showcase their musical prowess on a national stage. 

The United States Army Band "Pershing's Own" is renowned as one of the nation's premier musical ensembles, regularly performing for major US and international dignitaries, including the President of the United States. The Tuba and Euphonium Workshop is one of the oldest and most respected conferences in the field, offering an exceptional platform for musicians to share their talents and connect with industry professionals. 

The GSU Tuba and Euphonium Ensemble has a rich history of excellence, having previously performed at six of the last seven International Tuba and Euphonium Conferences (ITECs). Performances include the University of Iowa, University of Tennessee, Indiana University, Linz (Austria), University of Arizona, and at the University Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. 
 
This year's performance at the United States Army Band workshop promises to be a highlight in the ensemble's prestigious journey. The members of the GSU Tuba and Euphonium Ensemble are thrilled to bring their musical artistry to Washington, D.C., and share the stage with fellow musicians from around the country. 

Adding to the excitement, several Glenville State University alumni from across West Virginia will be joining the ensemble for this special performance. Their presence not only highlights the strength of the university's music program but also emphasizes the enduring bonds forged within the GSU musical community.
