GLENVILLE, WV - Glenville State University President Dr. Mark Manchin honored several employees at the Faculty and Staff Appreciation Luncheon that was held on Monday, May 9 in the Mollohan Campus Community Center Ballroom. Manchin presented certificates of appreciation to several employees for their many years of service at Glenville State University in addition to other awards given to individual members of the campus community. 

Glenville State University recognizes employees beginning with 15 years of service; subsequent employment milestones are recognized in five-year increments. 
 
Those recognized for their years of service in 2022 included:

35 Years of Service
Linda Graff, Physical Plant Administrative Secretary
 
20 Years of Service
Larry Baker, Professor of Science Education
Dr. Kevin Evans, Professor of Chemistry

15 Years of Service
Rachel Adams, Certification Analyst
Sheri Goff, Financial Aid Counselor
David McEntire, Lecturer of Exercise Science
Tom Ratliff, Executive Director of Operations

Additionally, the Staff Employee of the Year Award was presented to Teresa Sterns, Executive Assistant to the President and Secretary to the Board of Governors. Associate Professor of Mathematics Dr. Wenwen Du was recognized for receiving the Faculty Award of Excellence.

“I am always pleased when our faculty and staff can take time to pause and enjoy each other’s company at events like this. It also gives us the opportunity to recognize our greatest resource, the outstanding Glenville State University employees. We are extremely grateful to all of our employees,” Manchin said.

Employees were also recognized from 2020 and 2021 for their years of service. Recognition events for those years were canceled due to COVID-19.
