On November 14, 2024, students from Glenville State University’s Criminal Justice program attended the 2024 FBI Collegiate Academy in Clarksburg, WV. The event included training, networking seminars, and a tour of the FBI’s facility, highlighting the agency's role in national security and law enforcement.
Students participated in Q&A sessions with various FBI departments, including GSU graduates currently employed at the Clarksburg location. Alongside peers from WVU and Fairmont, GSU students served as exemplary ambassadors for the university’s mission and values.
This collaboration provided valuable insight into the FBI’s operations and the diverse career opportunities available within the agency. It is expected to inspire more GSU students to pursue careers with the FBI and related agencies, strengthening the university’s ties to national security and law enforcement fields.
“GSU students were exemplary ambassadors for mission and values of GSU. We anticipate the number of Pioneers filling the ranks the FBI to increase after this educational and exciting collaboration.” Said Dr. Donal Hardin, Associate Professor of Criminal Justice at Glenville State.
