Glenville State College will formally welcome the incoming class of new students during Convocation on Friday, August 15th at 2:00 p.m. in the GSC Fine Arts Auditorium. Fall Convocation officially marks the beginning of the new academic year.

Glenville State College Provost and Senior Vice President Dr. Kathy Butler will be the Master of Ceremonies for the event. “Convocation is our chance to welcome new students to the Pioneer Family and the Glenville State College Community. We want to introduce them to the many exciting challenges and opportunities that they will experience as a member of the academic community at Glenville State College,” said Butler.

The new GSC students will hear from representatives from the administration, faculty, staff, student body, and community, including President Dr. Peter Barr, and 2008 Faculty Award of Excellence recipient Dr. Ed Wood.

GSC students, faculty, staff, and the general public are encouraged to attend the Convocation to welcome new students.
