GLENVILLE, WV – Faculty members in Glenville State College’s Department of Language and Literature are planning a Celebration of Words event in the Robert F. Kidd Library on Thursday, February 21, at 4:00 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
The event will feature performances from Glenville State College faculty including a reading from Ken Lang, Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice and a retired veteran of the Baltimore County Police. Lang served for twenty-five years, and fifteen of those years were spent investigating violent crimes, including murder. He recounts some of his most notable experiences in the field in his homicide series including Death Comes Uninvited, Walking Among the Dead: True Stories from a Homicide Detective, and Standing in Death’s Shadow: More True Stories From A Homicide Detective.
Other performances of the night will include a dramatic monologue performed by Professor of Communications and Director of Theater, Dennis Wemm, a reading from Technical Notes for Bird Government, a newly released poetry collection by Dr. Jonathan Minton, and a reading from Dr. Marjorie Stewart.
