GLENVILLE, WV – With generous support from the Pioneer community, Glenville State University has raised a record-breaking $1.2 million from over 1,100 donors during the 2025 Founders Day of Giving, February 19, 2025.
Donations support multiple projects across campus, including each academic department and athletic team, scholarship funds, alumni and student projects, the Pioneer Fund, and the President’s Circle.
"Today, we celebrate the incredible generosity of all our donors, whose support continues to inspire and drive our mission forward. Thanks to their commitment, and the transformative $500,000 Morris Family Foundation match, we’ve taken another powerful step toward making a lasting impact. Together, we are turning gratitude into action, ensuring that the future holds even greater opportunities for our students here at Glenville State University,” said Vice President of Advancement, David Hutchison.
Upon reaching and surpassing the $1.2 Million goal, Dr. Mark A. Manchin, President of Glenville State University said, “I join Vice President Hutchison in thanking the Pioneer Family for their overwhelming generosity and dedication to GSU and our students. When you contribute to Glenville State University, you are contributing to our current and future students, along with the very future of Glenville and the state of West Virginia. Over the next several years, you’re going to see some dramatic changes as we continue to grow in many areas including undergraduate and graduate level programs, our facilities, and the opportunities for our students, so they can receive the education they deserve,” he added.
