Glenville, WV—The Glenville State College Academic Support Center has moved to a new location. During the holiday break, the ASC relocated from the lower level of the Robert F. Kidd Library to the first floor of Louis Bennett Hall, in the old LBH conference room. “I think it is a better location. I like the fact that we are more centrally located, that makes us more accessible for the students. We have plenty of room to provide all of the services that we do,” said Amy Fiddler, Director of Academic Support Services.

The ASC provides tutoring services to any GSC student who needs academic help in any subject. Tutoring is available between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday on a walk-in basis, or by appointment. Tutoring is also offered at Pickens Hall from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday. These sessions are open to all GSC students, not just Pickens Hall residents.

The GSC Clothes Closet has also moved with the ASC to LBH. The Clothes Closet is a service that provides donated professional clothing to assist GSC students who need dressier attire for job interviews or other occasions. There is now more room for a larger assortment of clothing. Any GSC student is invited to stop by and select an outfit from the closet, which is open anytime the ASC is.
