Glenville, WV â The 4th Annual Glenville State College Tree Lighting Ceremony was held on Monday, November 30th. The college Christmas tree was ceremonially lit by GSC President Peter Barr. The Glenville State College Choir brought holiday spirit to the event with carols as visitors were gathering in the Luanna Smith Amphitheater. Additionally, Santa and Mrs. Claus made a special visit to the Mollohan Campus Community Center for photos with area children after the festivities.
Dr. Barr and his wife Betsy started the holiday tradition in 2006. This marks the first year that a live evergreen was actually planted and decorated as the campus tree.
