Dave McEntire joined the Glenville State community in February 2006 from Buffalo, New York as an assistant football coach. After receiving his Master of Education with an emphasis in Physical Education and Health from Salem University in May 2008 he began teaching at Glenville State College. In January 2009 he was hired as Visiting Instructor of Physical Education and Health by Glenville State. He continued to teach in various capacities at the college until transitioning full time to Lecturer of Exercise Science for Glenville State in Fall 2021. Mr. McEntire is currently in the process of pursuing a PHD in Health Sciences with an emphasis in Exercise and Sport Science from Liberty University.

Mr. McEntire has served on several committees during his time at Glenville State University and oversees the Athletic Academic Intervention team for the University and has seem tremendous improvement in the GPAs of many of the athletic teams under his watch. He continues to be active in the campus community and still serves as a member of the football coaching staff.
